Danielle Powell
Whatsup fitness instructor - if you think you get a good work out on land wait til you try the water, Dani's classes are amazing; every exercise pushing your core to stay stable on the board. 1 hr of just paddle boarding burns 1000 calories! Add a work out on top and trust me, it's not one to miss out on.
Bailey Williams

Bailey is our youngest instructor. He is also Ben’s nephew. He’s been paddle boarding for nearly 4 years now with Whatsupuk, and started helping out as a summer job, but paddling turned into something he loves endlessly and he completed his instructor training to join the team more often.
** By booking, you agree to abide by our COVID-19 precautions (see www.whatsupuk.com/covid)**

** If you book more than 3 days in advance, and the weather forecast is not good for the day of your booking we will contact you a few days before if we have to cancel your session. If all goes ahead as planned, you will just receive a reminder email/message the day before your booking.**

IF you have booked for our location at Pilhay Farm:
** 5 MPH SPEED LIMIT ON FARM TRACK PLEASE**
** Farm track entrance opposite bus stop A370, BS24 6RE**
** The 'directions' link in your booking confirmation may not work properly. Either use the postcode above or this google maps link to find the turning onto the farm road: https://goo.gl/maps/tXTvBcD74wKm5KcZA**
** If you have booked a rivertrip (in the evening) please help us keep noise down upon your return to the farm, there are children sleeping**

For other locations the 'directions' link should work properly.
In 2020, we ran the majority of our household sessions from Pilhay Farm. This is private land, and we feel very lucky the land owners are so generous to let us access the river here! Because it is private land, the river and the access here are quiet, and we feel this is the best place to keep everyone safe and socially distanced, and this is why we have been using this location most for 2020.
Pilhay Farm is our only location which does not come up on the map correctly in the booking system and the confirmation you receive. It is off the A370 between Congresbury and Weston-super-Mare. The postcode you'll receive in your booking confirmation does work well in most satnavs.
  • If you come from Congresbury, pass JMT leisure (tall white flags) on your right hand side, then as the road straightens you'll see white buildings on your right with a bus stop on either side of the road. Turn RIGHT immediately after the white buildings (opposite the bus stop on your left).
  • If you come from Weston-super-Mare or the M5, pass the garden centre on your right, then a little further you'll see a sign 'Heathfield Park' on the right, and then a bus stop on either side of the road. Turn LEFT right opposite the bus stop on your right hand side, onto the farm track just before the white buildings.
  • The google maps link is here.
  • A screenshot of the farm entrance is shown below.

  • On the farm, please keep to a speed limit of 10 MPH (children and animals).
  • Follow the road over a cattle grid, and you'll see our flags. Please park by the side of the derelict building, that way there is enough access for the (working) farm and we would not inconvenience the people that live in the house on the left.
  • If you are on a rivertrip in an evening - please be aware that children are sleeping in the house. We ask you to respect this and keep noise to a minimum level after 9pm.

By booking, you confirm you will abide by our COVID-19 procedures.
  • You will follow all instructions by WhatSUP staff.
  • Pre-booked SUP sessions preferred. We will be accepting walk-ins again but may ask you to wait a while (at a safe distance) until boards are free and equipment disinfected for you.
  • If you book a household session, you will book for members of your household/'bubble' together only. We do not accept mixed 'bubbles' and you will be turned away if coming in a mixed group.
    • Please do not arrive early before your session, we must avoid mixing of households/'bubbles' near the riverbank.
    • We work with staggered arrivals - some households arrive on the whole hour, and other arrive half past the hour. The household session is about 45 minutes on the water. This gives us 15 minutes to disinfect all equipment before the next household arrives.
    • We ask your household/'bubble' to keep your distance from other households and our staff.
    • All children must be accompanied by at least one adult (from their 'bubble') who is also paddling, in case they need any help.
  • If you book a rivertrip, you will keep 1m+ social distancing from everyone not in your 'bubble', including our staff.
  • On arrival, we ask everyone to wash their hands with water and soap provided.
  • BY BOOKING, YOU CONFIRM
    • Nobody in your 'bubble' (even if not coming to WhatSUP on the day) has tested positive for or shown any symptoms of COVID-19 during the 2 weeks before coming to WhatSUP.
    • Nobody in your 'bubble' has been in contact with anyone testing positive for or showing signs of COVID-19 (exception: NHS workers in full PPE when caring for patients) during the 2 weeks before coming to WhatSUP.
    • If circumstances regarding the above change in between you making the booking and attending your appointment with WhatSUP, please contact us directly.
